1987年,北京大学生物系获学士学位;1990年,中国农业科学院生物技术所获硕士学位;2000年,比利时根特大学获博士学位;2000-2001年,加拿大多伦多大学博士后;2002-2004年,加拿大卡尔加里大学高级研究助理;2005-2017年,入选中科院百人计划,任中国科学院植物研究所创新研究组组长;2018年,浙江理工学院生命科学学院教授。现任国际生物科学联合会中国全国委员会(CCIUBS)委员。

研究领域:1、拟南芥基因转录对盐胁迫记忆的表观遗传学机理;2、线粒体功能稳态及铁硫簇合成对非生物胁迫的响应;3、气孔密度调控的分子机理,以及在提高抗旱性和水分利用效率中的应用;4、以栽培番茄和耐盐野生醋栗番茄为材料,利用比较基因组学和遗传学的方法,挖掘野生番茄耐盐基因资源,以期改良作物的抗盐、抗旱性。

主持和参与了自然科学基金面上项目,973项目, 863项目,转基因专项,科技部国际合作项目,中科院重要方向性项目等的研究。在国际学术期刊上发表40余篇文章,申请或授权国家发明专利4项,已培养硕士和博士20名。
